Will CareerCobra make things up on my resume?
Your tailored resume is built from the resume you provide. Dollar amounts and percentages (like $2M or 30%) are checked in code against your original, and any bullet or sentence with one that is not there is removed. The same goes for common software names such as Salesforce and HubSpot. A separate AI review also compares your summary, bullets, and skills with your original and scales back anything your resume does not support. The AI is instructed to keep your job titles exactly as your resume states them. As with any tool, read your resume before you send it.
What do I get for one credit?
One credit gives you a tailored resume, a matching cover letter, an ATS match score, and specific tips to improve your match for that job. A credit is used only after your results are saved, so if a run fails you are not charged.
How do I add my resume and the job?
Upload your resume as a PDF with selectable text, or paste the text. Then paste the full job posting. Scanned or image-only PDFs cannot be read, so paste your resume text instead if that happens.
What file formats can I download?
Your tailored resume downloads as a Word file (.docx) or a PDF, and your cover letter downloads as a PDF or can be copied as text. The PDFs contain real, selectable text, which is what applicant tracking systems read.
What does the ATS match score mean?
It estimates how closely your tailored resume matches the job posting's keywords, requirements, and job title, calculated in code with a fixed formula. It is a guide, not a guarantee. A low score usually means the posting asks for experience your resume does not show.
Can I cancel Pro at any time?
Yes. Open your dashboard, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the secure Stripe billing portal. You keep Unlimited access until the end of the period you already paid for. The $9 pack is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
What happens to my resume?
Your resume is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to create your results, and your resume text, the job posting, and your results are saved to your account with each application so you can track it. You can request deletion of your data, or delete your account, at any time from your Account page.
